Tell Your Council Member to Say NO to Limiting Public Speech

It has come to our attention that the Huntsville City Council is taking action to restrict the public's opportunities to speak at City Council meetings. We believe that democratic government depends upon informed and active participation at all levels of government. Therefore, we sent the attached letter to the City Council urging them to reconsider these restrictions due to the hardships caused by such restrictions.

We are calling on you to take action to protect your First Amendment right to petition your local government.
Please call or email your Huntsville City Council Member and tell them that you are a constituent and that you want them to vote NO on the rules amendment.
Do this NOW because the council meeting is on 8 July 2021 (today) at 5:30 pm.
