The League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley is proud to be an official 2020 National Voter Registration Day partner, and we're gearing up to observe National Voter Registration Day on September 22, 2020.

There will be multiple opportunities to take part in National Voter Registration Day and get ready to vote in the General Election on November 3rd!

The LWV of the Tennessee Valley and Jordan #ChillCity Moore will be launching a weekly series of video shorts highlighting some of the key issues around voting in Alabama. The shorts will address registering to vote, the importance of voting, debunking common excuses not to vote, absentee voting, and volunteering at the polls. The series will kick off on National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday September 22nd, and a new short will air every Tuesday until Election Day. The videos will pushed to the League’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages (@LWVTNV), YouTube (http://bit.ly/LWVTNV_Youtube) and Website (LWVTNV.org).

For this year’s NVRD we have distributed a Virtual Voter Drive kit to high schools and colleges across our 5-county Tennessee Valley region.  32 schools and counting!

The LWV of the Tennessee Valley has also joined up with local artists Microwave Dave and Victoria Jones to host a “Don’t Note Vote!” concert to get out the vote on Wednesday, September 23rd. Microwave Dave and Victoria Jones perform together, sharing original music and messages encouraging everyone to Get To The Polls. Watch the concert premier on Wednesday September 23rd at 7pm on the LWV of the Tennessee Valley's Youtube channel (http://bit.ly/LWVTNV_Youtube).

We also will continue our weekly drive-up voter services clinic on Saturday, September 26th, at the Seminole Boys & Girls Club, 10am - 2pm at 125 Earl St., Huntsville, and will be joined by the R. E. Nelms Temple #1127. Register to vote, apply for absentee ballots, and witness completed absentee ballots - all from your car!

The League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley continues to collaborate with our local artists, schools, and community organizations to encourage everyone to stay engaged with what's happening in your community, the state, the country, and the entire world.

This National Voter Registration Day, we encourage you to register to vote, make sure your information is up to date, and get yourself ready to vote, in person or absentee, in the election on November 3rd!
